Love this thing. If only it would load my trays as well! No longer am I running up and down stairs to check on the status, I can add time if I am out, no more judgement calls on settings - the library is really good - and I can manage thing in centigrade. If it just came with a magnet or Velcro stickers rather than just hanging off the side it would be perfect - maybe something to think about out.

A perfect addition to any freeze dryer! I can add as much extra dry time as I need when Im at work or away from home. Worth every penny.

I received my order within a few weeks of placing my order. Other than the wait, which was made clear before ordering, everything in the shipping process went as smooth as possible. Before the unit is shipped out, you receive detailed email instructions on next steps and receiving your package. Once the unit got to fedex wearhouse, they called me to confirm or reschedule my delivery. The next day my unit was delivered and I had the driver call me 1h before his arrival so I could be sure to be home for delivery. When the fedex driver arrived, my freeze dryer was the only thing left in the truck. The packaging seemed to have been smooshed in on the side a little and my heart sank. I had heard of people’s freeze dryers coming damaged due to shipping. Thankfully though the driver was super understanding and patient with the inspection process and the unit was fine no defects.

Beside some user error of not switching the vacuum pump to on the first bread run with the unit went great and so far am extremely satisfied with the product and experience.

I just installed the wifi upgrade kit and it's fabulous. I connected it to the freeze dryer and I had to turn it on/off to read the wifi upgrade kit. I can control the freeze dry settings from my phone app anywhere and I don't have to go to the machine to check on it's status anymore. The drying tips tab lists food/candy I can freeze dry and identifies preparation and try loading tips. I can also ask questions in the instant support tab (answers come immediately) - it's all wonderful. Great invention!

I would call it essential, machine runs more efficiently than before!
